Ordinary Time

Is time ever really ordinary?  January can be such a rush of ambition.  Resolutions are made and with the best of intentions.  We have a brief space of ordinary time in the liturgical calendar between the Christmas season and Lent.  Time to take a breathe and pause.  "Selah" as it says in the Psalms.  Time to enjoy the rhythm of the seasons.  Time to be ordinary.
